In the wee hours on June 14, Tamil Nadu Minister V Senthil Balaji broke down as Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials took him under custody. Balaji was taken into custody for questioning in connection with an alleged money laundering matter. On June 13, the investigating agency raided the premises of Balaji in connection with the probe. Following the raids, the DMK leader was taken into custody. In the visuals, Balaji can be seen crying while lying in a car. His supporters gathered outside the hospital and shouted slogans against ED. NR Elango, DMK MP alleged that Balaji was detained without informing him about the grounds of his arrest.
