A mother was left in hysterics when her son told her he went for "a poo" - in his grandmother's flowerbed .

The hilarious video video shows the moment Kit Collett, three, announces on the patio to his mother and grandmother what he has just done.

Footage shows Kit with his cousin Sully, four, as mum Lorna Collett asks "What happened?"

Kit responds "I pooed on the grass" as he races to the scene of the crime.

Lorna, 29, can be heard laughing as her and her mum go over to inspect.

Lorna, a learning support assistant from Newquay, Cornwall, said: "I wasn’t entirely shocked as this isn’t the first time he’s done it.

"When he was first potty trained he did it in our garden and before I could clean it up the dog ate it!

"He’s also done it at the beach before. He came running up to me at the beach to tell me he’d done it but didn’t remember where so I had to search the beach looking for his poo so I could clear it up.

"Kit also likes to pee anywhere and everywhere. He did it into a rock pool in front of the entire beach the other day.

"He’s fully potty trained and really good at going to the toilet but when we’re out and about he likes to do his business in the wild.

"I try and stop him but he always manages to do it before I can stop him!

"I call him my wild boy."

To make matters worse, Kit did the deed in his grandmother's flowerbed .

Lorna added: "My mum’s reaction was unimpressed as he ended up doing it on one of her favourite plants.

"My dad was really annoyed because he’d just taken Kit to the toilet upstairs right before it happened and Kit said he didn’t need to go but then went and did that two minutes later.

"My dad told me to clean it up right away. I got the dog’s pooper scooper and got Kit to help me scoop it up.

"I told him not to do it again which he said he wouldn’t.

"He then went and apologised to his grandparents."

Despite the unimpressed grandparent, Lorna and her sister saw humour in the incident.

"Me and my sister found it funny as it’s such a Kit thing to do.

"Both of the boys were completely indifferent to what had happened as if it was a completely normal and regular occurrence!

"I’ve had a lot of family and friends message me finding it hilarious and saying how it’s such a Kit thing to do."

The footage was captured on May 8.
