Rains from typhoon-enhanced ‘habagat’ may affect parts of Southern, Central Luzon this weekend

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” which will be intensified by typhoon Chedeng (international name “Guchol”) may bring ocassional rains to parts of Southern and Central Luzon beginning Saturday, June 10.

In an advisory issued on Friday, June 9, PAGASA said Occidental Mindoro, Calamian Islands, and northwestern Antique may receive 50 to 100 millimeters of rain (heavy rains) on Saturday. (Video Courtesy of DOST-PAGASA)
