BBC India has admitted that it has under reported its income over the past few years, according to sources. Meanwhile, the Income Tax department has said that quantification of BBC India's "tax liability" will only arise once the tax is actually paid. Sources say “acceptance" or "willingness to pay tax” only means there is "liability" on the part of BBC India.
