00:00 Hi everyone! Welcome back to my channel. I hope you're all having a wonderful day. This
00:04 is a makeup tutorial just playing around with random eye looks and lip looks and just doing
00:11 something very very different. I have been reading your comments and I know you'd like
00:14 to see more artsy, creative kind of makeup tutorials rather than just the very wearable
00:21 ones. There is a method to my madness and I do like to do wearable ones because I know
00:25 that most people can actually wear it themselves and it has more of a mass appeal rather than
00:32 doing very creative, theatrical type looks which are fun to watch but you can't really
00:38 wear it during the day. Well, you can but most people wouldn't. So I'm saying that it
00:42 would be good to switch it up every now and then just for those of you who do want to
00:45 see something different so that everyone is happy, not just the ones that like seeing
00:49 the very wearable looks. As you can see, I've been playing around with this look today which
00:53 is basically like inverted eyeliner. So instead of filling in the eyeliner, I have actually
01:00 smacked out the outside of it rather than, yes, filling in the inside of it. I've got
01:04 a little orange border around my forehead because I put fake tan on my face and unfortunately
01:09 that happens when I do that. So yeah. For eyeliner, I'm going to use the L'Oreal
01:14 Super Liner Soft Couture Eyeliner in Black and it's just got a little tip like this which
01:21 is very, very fine. I did on this eye use a fatter pen but it ended up making a bit
01:29 more of a mess. I'm going to use one that has a bit of a smaller little nib which means
01:33 I hope that I can get a little bit more precision and less mistakes. So I'm going to try and
01:37 do this. It's going to be really hard. Holding a little mirror but before when I was doing
01:45 my other eye, I was like this. So if it doesn't end up perfectly even, that's probably why.
01:50 So what I'm doing is basically, as you can see, I just drew a little line outwards to
02:04 create the base of the wing and I'm going to go from the tip of that wing and create
02:09 the hollow liner. So I'm going to go from here all the way to the inner corner and this
02:14 is what probably takes a little bit of precision. Almost think of it as like sketching. So you're
02:29 just sketching out the shape because obviously that's not how I'm going to leave it but it
02:33 gives me a rough shape to follow so now I can just neaten it up. A great little tip
02:38 if you do struggle with eyeliner is to invest in a little makeup remover pen. This one is
02:44 by Makeup Cosmetica Clean Slate Makeup Perfector. So on one end it's got a pointy little tip
02:50 and on this end it's got kind of a chunky flat tip. So what I'm going to use this for
02:55 is just to neaten up that eyeliner without having to get a big, thick Q-tip. It does
03:01 help a lot if it's like a little pen. Next I'm going to take this Makeup Store Micro
03:17 Shadow in Pollution which is simply a matte black with the Sigma Eyeliner E05 brush. I
03:23 do use quite a few different brushes in this tutorial just because it makes it easier for
03:27 me but if you don't have access to all those brushes it won't be a problem. It just means
03:31 you might need to be a little bit more precise and a little bit more careful. What I'm going
03:35 to do now is outline the liner with this black shadow just basically making the line a bit
03:43 thicker and smokier and then we gradually, gradually, very, very gradually smoke it out.
03:48 So I'm just going to start with a very, very precise brush like this one. I learnt the
03:51 art way before on the other eye. Then I'm going to take the Sigma Pencil E30 brush and
04:10 smoke that out. This does take quite a while so you do have to be fairly patient. So at
04:25 the start don't dip your brush into the eyeshadow. Just leave the brush as it is so that you're
04:32 not adding any more black. You're just smoking out what you've already got on there. But
04:35 as soon as we have smoked it out enough and it's looking nice and smoky then we can grab
04:40 a smaller brush and darken up that black. But don't use this to add any more black because
04:46 it's too big and it's too fluffy, as small as it does actually look and it will cover
04:51 too much of a large, it will cover a large space even though it's quite small. Then I'm
04:55 going to go back in with a little eyeliner brush and add some more black. I just remembered
05:07 that I actually have a 10% off code for all of my subscribers for Sigma. So if you want
05:13 to get 10% off all of these brushes just use the code "lauren" at the checkout and you
05:18 get 10% off whatever you buy. So it's actually really handy because I'm using so many brushes
05:22 in this video. So I'll leave that in the description box if you are interested.
05:29 Okay, now I'm going to go back to that L'Oreal Super Liner SuperCure Eyeliner and I'm going
05:38 to do the little corner bit in here. So pretty much just doing what I normally do when I
05:43 create a little cat eye. So just bring the eyeliner into your inner, very, very, very
05:48 inner tear duct, kind of flicking it out a little bit and then connecting it to the lower
05:52 lash line in the corner. So, fairly straightforward but I'll show you what I mean. What I also
06:06 did was just bring in the eyeliner from this corner a little bit further in towards my
06:13 bottom lash line. I'm using the Sotto Ocher Paint Pot and the same small angled E65. I'm
06:19 going to fill in the little hollow bit. Again, much easier if you do have an angled brush.
06:26 Then I'm going to grab a pressed powder. Any one, honestly, does not matter at all. This
06:39 one is just translucent. I'm pretty happy with that. If I tried to make mine identical,
06:47 I'd be here for way too long. So, I'm going to move on to mascara. This is the Maybelline
06:52 Falsies Big Eyes Mascara. So I'm not going to apply falsies because it's going to cover
06:56 up too much of the skin colored hollow bits. So I'm just going to be applying mascara. I'm
07:02 just going to very, very, very generously coat my lashes. Now I'm going to fill in my
07:17 eyebrows just to make the eyes look a little bit more balanced. Because obviously with
07:22 such dark eyes, you need strong brows to help frame your face and just balance out the look
07:28 in general. So I'm going to use the Sigma Medium Brow Powder as I always do. For this
07:49 look, I'm not going to experiment too much with my base products because I don't want
07:54 to have a crazy color foundation or a different coverage or whatever that I actually want.
07:59 I want to keep the coverage and stuff very controlled so that the eyes suit the whole
08:04 face in general. So I'm going to stick with the L'Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh Foundation
08:09 24 Hour in Radiant Beige. Next I'm going to use the L'Oreal True Match Concealer in 4
08:30 in Beige. I'm going to use the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Light. And of course
08:55 NARS Pressed Powder in Beige for the rest of my face. So I'm going to do a little bit
09:05 of contouring. I'm going to use Hoola by Benefit with the NARS Etal ITA brush. And yes, I'm
09:23 wearing a scrunchie. Never thought that day would come, but I was sent one and the first
09:29 I got it and I laughed. But I actually used it and I was like, "This is so comfortable!"
09:33 So that's my little dirty secret. I sometimes like to wear scrunchies. Next I'm going to
09:38 use this Makeup Store Blush in Must Have. And to highlight I'm going to use the Bourjois
09:54 Universal Illuminating Powder in 150. Oh no, that's the 50th anniversary. I don't know
10:02 what colour it is. Maybe it's just a universal. Oh wait, it's a universal. Alright, yeah,
10:09 it's that one. Down the bridge of my nose and on my nose just to make my nose look a
10:21 little bit shinier. And then on my cupid's bow. Now as much as I like this look with
10:29 nude lips, I'm actually going to make them very, very dark and a bit of an ombre look.
10:35 So I'm going to take off all of my foundation-y stuff on my lips. And that shade is Makeup
10:41 Store Matte Lipstick in 406. Lastly I'm going to use the Makeup Store Soft Matte Darkest
11:02 Shadow Pencil Eyeliner in Black. I'm just going to use this one to outline my lipstick
11:08 and make it darker on the outsides. That is the finished look. It took a long time, but
11:21 we got there in the end. So I hope you guys have liked this look. I hope it's something
11:24 a little bit different for you. Although I'm sure you won't wear it out during the day.
11:28 It's still, oh, is that lipstick or is that a scratch? That's a scratch. Now I'm going
11:33 to make it like 10 times more red anyway. I know most people wouldn't really wear it
11:36 during the day, but at least it was hopefully interesting to watch. So let me know if you'd
11:41 like to see more videos like this. But for now, thank you all so much for watching. I
11:44 love you guys and I'll see you all in my next video. Bye!
