00:00 Hello everybody, I'm here to do a makeup tutorial on how to make day makeup into night makeup with just a few essentials.
00:11 I'm going to have a model Chelsea come up in a few seconds to show you guys exactly how you do that.
00:16 So I'm going to start off with just showing a couple of essentials that you need to take. You don't have to have the exact ones.
00:23 But the biggest things you should always have with you in your purse or backpack, whatever you want to carry, is lipstick.
00:32 A nice color of lipstick. Bright red is an awesome color. Nudes are an awesome color. Dark browns are an awesome color.
00:38 You should also have a to-go eyeshadow palette. This is not a to-go palette because mine just got finished.
00:45 But I'm going to show you an eyeshadow palette and pretend like it's a to-go eyeshadow palette.
00:50 And then you're going to want some mascara because as the day goes on, your mascara melts down your face and doesn't look good at all.
00:59 So it's always good to have some extra mascara just to brighten it up a little bit and bring the mascara up underneath your eye.
01:11 And then you're going to want some eyeliner because that tends to wipe off during the day as well.
01:17 And some highlighter because it's always good to refresh your highlighter.
01:22 This is a liquid. You can also have powdery highlighter. Powdery is probably better to have when you're refreshing something because it doesn't liquefy your foundation and make it melt away.
01:32 And then I have this. It's called Too Faced Flavor to Go. It's just got all the essentials in it.
01:40 It also has blush and a bronzer in it. But I use the dark brown eyeshadow for contouring of the cheeks.
01:48 And then some more blush because I really don't have too much blush. Yes, I do. Don't get that advice.
01:54 We're going to start Chelsea off with some highlighter.
01:58 This says it's infused with 24k gold. I don't know if I really believe that, but I'm just going to put it on my nose because it looks really pretty.
02:09 It is infused with 24k gold.
02:12 So I just have a little bit on my finger. I took a little too much this time.
02:20 But just don't listen to anything I say in this video.
02:24 So I'm just going to dab some of it on the cheek.
02:28 And even on my nose.
02:30 Thank you.
02:32 And then I'm going to dab some of this on the other cheek.
02:35 And if you look, she literally looks like she's going to a tribal fire.
02:40 Go ahead and look towards the camera. You can see that her skin looks very shiny and luminous.
02:54 So now, we're going to contour her cheekbones.
03:00 I also have a brush kit down here. I'm not going to bring it in because there's too many brushes on it.
03:04 But it's just a bunch of essential brushes.
03:08 Like a contouring brush.
03:10 So what I do is I literally just take brown eyeshadow.
03:13 I dab the contouring brush in the brown eyeshadow.
03:16 And she's going to look like this.
03:18 Just like that.
03:20 And you see how there's a line right here?
03:23 I'm just going to put that brown eyeshadow right into that line.
03:26 If you guys know who Kim Kardashian is, hopefully you do. You probably do.
03:33 She's really good at this.
03:36 Make the lip muscles.
03:40 Blend it in.
03:51 And I like to put a little on the nose too.
03:55 And right here.
04:00 The forehead.
04:03 And underneath.
04:05 The cheekbones.
04:07 Just to make everything nice and defined.
04:09 I have Tarte blush.
04:11 Just a pinky orange-y color which is really nice to get in the night time.
04:14 Because you don't see things very well if you're like, I mean not to say that you're going to be in the club.
04:19 But if you're in the club or just somewhere really dark, it's nice to have a nice bright colored blush.
04:25 This is kind of like a cookie-cookie brush.
04:27 Just a really big brush. All over the face brush.
04:30 And just to make sure that everything is blended in, I'm going to use circle motions.
04:34 Over the blush and contouring.
04:37 So now you can see that it's a very natural but bright look.
04:44 Eyeshadow is a very, very important part of makeup.
04:49 Because you want your eyes to pop no matter how dark it is.
04:54 You can also do this according to the color of your eye.
04:57 I have green eyes so I like to use purples.
04:59 Because purple brings out hazel.
05:02 Chelsea has nice beautiful amber eyes.
05:05 So I'm going to make it pinky, natural colors with some green and brown.
05:13 Smoky eye.
05:19 So I just did all over one color.
05:24 It's just a base color.
05:29 I always like to do white underneath the eye too because it creates a glow.
05:35 I'm going to use this dark brown, this pinky brown and this green.
05:43 Really nice when you mix colors.
05:46 Make a winged smoky eye.
05:51 I'm going to blow.
05:56 If you don't have a friend to blow on your face, you can use a brush.
06:01 And just gently, gently swipe underneath the eye to get all the extra eyeshadow off.
06:06 You always want to do eyeliner after you do the eyeshadow so that it still looks very defined.
06:11 And before the mascara.
06:14 Because if you have mascara on and you put eyeliner on, your mascara can get clumped.
06:18 We're not going to put too much eyeliner on Chelsea because we want the eyeshadow to be noticeable.
06:23 And for the bottom, since I do use a pen, I don't like to use it on the bottom of the eye.
06:31 So I bring out the brown eyeshadow.
06:36 And I'm going to do the mascara.
06:41 Okay, now Chelsea's eye makeup is ready.
06:46 The last step is the mascara.
06:51 The last and one of the most important things is the lipstick.
06:58 Because it's very unforgiving.
07:03 Because it's red.
07:05 So hopefully I don't get it all over my face.
07:08 I was never good at painting my lips.
07:11 Which I'm not doing.
07:14 [Music]
07:27 How did that get there?
07:29 Because it's over my hair.
07:31 But it wasn't me.
07:33 It wasn't me.
07:34 I didn't do it.
07:35 No, I didn't do it.
07:36 [Music]
07:38 I feel really fine.
07:40 I feel really fine right now.
07:42 I feel like I'm going to go to the power room.
07:44 Now I am.
07:47 [Music]
07:51 Okay, so now that I've done everything on Chelsea's beautiful face, I'm going to go over to the makeup in a second.
07:56 I'm going to do one quick hair thing that is really nice for if you're in a rush.
08:02 It takes like two seconds.
08:04 And you just have a couple of bobby pins.
08:06 So what I do is I take -- I would normally put them on my lap, but I'm fine.
08:16 I do a strand of hair from the bottom right here.
08:19 And then on both sides.
08:22 And you don't have to be exactly precise.
08:27 Just give it a nice nice strand.
08:30 And I'm going to twist them.
08:32 It's super simple.
08:34 I'm going to twist them like this.
08:37 And I'm just going to bring it back.
08:41 So as you can see -- you can do this with a hairband too, but you might not always have the hairband.
08:51 So I'm just going to take this right here.
08:57 And you can just use that to access your hair.
09:01 And I'm going to cover it up.
09:04 And then I'm going to put my hair in a bun.
09:07 And Chelsea is ready for her night out.
09:10 I know I look like a pop star, but I promise it's still me.
09:14 Thank you so much for watching my day into night makeup video.
09:21 And thank you so much to my beautiful model Chelsea.
