The corner at Iona Street and Leith Walk is being transformed into a new public space as part of ongoing improvements to the recently pedestrianised area.

Taking centre stage are two recently resorted 125-year old tram wheels
that were discovered in August 2021 near Pilrig Street .

The wheels, that were buried underground for nearly 100 years, are catching the eye of local residents who are enjoying the new public space.
