00:23 are Agility, Attack, Defense, Intelligence, Bonus Skill and Survival.

00:36 since it wouldn't be fair to compare flying birds with other terrestrial or aquatic animals

00:43 Before we go straight to their Agility stats,

00:54 Time to go to the first characteristic, Agility.

00:57 So these two birds of prey are incredible when it comes to flight.

01:00 The Bald Eagle can reach speeds of up to 70 km/h when gliding

01:04 and up to 160 km/h during a dive.

01:08 That is already impressive, but the Golden Eagle overshadows the Bald Eagle's speed,

01:12 being able to reach up to 190 km/h when gliding.

01:17 When stooping or diving, the Golden Eagle will hold its leg up against its tail

01:21 and its wings tight against its body to be more aerodynamic.

01:25 In this way, it can reach 240 to 320 km/h,

01:30 making it the second fastest bird or even animal in the world,

01:34 after the Peregrine Falcon, of course.

04:23 The bald eagle has a varied diet of up to 400 different species,

04:27 but this time it will go for the usual fish.

04:33 and snatch the fish out of the water with its sharp talons.

04:36 Its hind talon is actually the largest one,

05:00 The bald eagle will also go for carrion if it is available.

05:04 When eating its well-deserved meal, it can also store up to 1 kg of food

05:08 in a pouch in the throat called a crop.

05:13 May I recommend a hare, marmot, ground squirrel, marten, fox,

05:18 or are you that hungry that you'd go for a deer?

05:21 Once the gold eagle has passed the target, it will begin its dive.

05:47 When it comes to defense, these two eagles have no natural predators

05:50 once they are big enough and are considered apex predators.

05:54 But see if they are being smart and stay away from the ground as much as possible,

05:58 because large land predators like wolverines or bears can still overpower them.

06:04 and fights between the bald eagle and the golden eagle have been observed

07:06 and having an estimated population of 100 to 200,000 individuals.

07:11 The bald eagle will build a huge nest where it will lay 1 to 3 eggs at once.

07:16 The hatchlings will have an average lifespan of 20 years.

07:19 The oldest wild bald eagle recorded lived 38 years.

07:23 The golden eagle will lay up to 4 eggs at once,

07:26 while the hatchlings will have an average lifespan of 14 years,

07:29 although the oldest one recorded lived 32 years in the wild.

07:33 In captivity, both birds can get to an even older age.
