The members of the Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee were stopped at the Ambala border on May 28. Notably, they came from Amritsar on May 27 to participate in women wrestlers’ Mahapanchayat. The Mahapanchayat would be held at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. The security was beefed up after Khap Panchayat leaders and farmers’ called to join the wrestlers’ protest.
