Halling Norwegian folk dance

Halling is the oldest living dance tradition of the Northern Europe, being traced back to 2000 years old cave carvings. During the viking era the kruking (in the thumbnail) was a common way of dancing.

The music is "Sumarmørgon" by Eivind Groven, performed by Knut & Ole Aastad Bråten on the instrument langeleik. The hat is hold by Ragnhild Hemsing.
