00:00 Hi guys, welcome back to my channel. So tonight's tutorial, I say tonight because it's like
00:04 half 9 in the evening, I decided to... I watched a few videos about strobing and the trend
00:11 that's going around on YouTube and magazines and all social media and decided to recreate
00:17 it for you or kind of create a strobing makeup look for you. So yeah, I got inspired and
00:25 I decided to sit down and film one for you. And I do apologize for the lighting because
00:30 it's pitch black outside. It's nearly 10 o'clock at night and I only got my lights here and
00:36 yeah, it might not be the perfect lighting. But anyway, I've created this look for you
00:41 today using only tonight, using only drugstore products from Makeup Revolution. I love Makeup
00:48 Revolution. I have been using their products for quite a while and kind of got some new
00:53 ones as well as some ones I've used in the past and decided to use them all tonight to
00:59 create this look. So I'm going to give you kind of mini reviews throughout the tutorial
01:03 as well as my first impressions on some of the products. So yeah, basically strobing
01:07 is highlighting in other words. So I decided to use kind of dewy products and a lot of
01:14 highlighting and a lot of shimmer. So basically create this really glamorous kind of very
01:21 fresh and dewy look for summer. And yeah, I really hope you enjoy it and if you want
01:27 to learn how I created it, just keep watching. So for this look, I'm going to concentrate
01:30 on highlighting, keeping it really fresh and dewy, which is perfect for summer. No harsh
01:35 sculpting the face or contouring or anything like that. So I'd recommend you use a BB cream
01:40 or a light tinted moisturizer, something that's sort of light to medium coverage, nothing
01:45 too heavy, nothing matte, something that's dewy and fresh looking. So that's why I chose
01:51 the Ultra Face Base BB Cream Foundation and it says it's ultra long lasting. It does have
01:57 a good staying power. I already used it in a different tutorial and it's also quite dewy,
02:03 does give light to medium coverage. And I've got two different colors here. I've got number
02:07 three and number 12. They're both yellow toned, but one is much lighter than the other and
02:13 I'm going to kind of mix them. I'm going to use the Beauty Blender as well. I'm going
02:17 to use the lighter shade here, sort of on the nose, forehead, chin, where you normally
02:24 highlight under the eyes and the rest is going to be sort of around the outside parts of
02:28 my face. By the way, I forgot to mention that this concealer was in the color number six
02:35 medium. Next I'm going to use the Revolution Press Powder. It looks like this and I believe
02:46 this is in translucent. It's got very interesting packaging actually. At first I wasn't quite
02:52 sure how to open it, but you just kind of slide it like this and then here it's got
02:57 like a little sponge, which I'm not going to use. I'm going to use my own kabuki brush
03:03 just to set under the eyes so it doesn't crease and a little bit in the T-zone because I do
03:10 get a little bit shiny throughout the day. But don't worry, afterwards we're going to
03:15 make it dewy and glowy again. Okay, next I'm going to use some of this Radiant Light Powder
03:22 all over my face. Miss Butcher Beauty recommended this in one of her videos and I decided to
03:26 get it because she said it's really good for all over the face to get that glow. It's not
03:32 like a highlighter, it's very, very subtle, but you can use it all over the face to kind
03:37 of give you that dewy, sort of fresh look to your skin. And it looks like this. It's
03:44 very interesting. And I believe it comes in a... you could get the palette with the three
03:51 different colours, but you could also get them separately like this. And I'll show you
03:56 what it looks like. I don't know what powder brush to use. I think I might use that kabuki
04:00 again. I've only used this once and I really liked it. So what I'm going to do is just
04:06 apply it all over the face. Let's see what happens. It gives a very subtle sort of dewiness.
04:17 I guess you could use it for setting the whole makeup really. So it's not matte, it's a little
04:26 bit dewy. It makes you look radiant, healthy. Yeah, it's really nice. I really like it.
04:37 Next I'm going to do my eyebrows with this little palette here called Focus and Fix Eyebrow
04:42 Shading Kit and I believe this is in medium, in light medium. I'll show you what it looks
04:46 like. It comes with three different shades. I don't know why this first one here, I guess
04:52 that's for highlighting. So it comes with three different shades and one wax here, that's
04:59 a clear wax. And it also comes with a little brush and little tweezers.
05:21 Next I'm going to use a blush out of this Ultra Blush Palette and this is actually the
05:26 Golden Sugar Edition. It comes with some really nice sort of shimmery blushes. I'm going to
05:32 show you what it looks like. A really big mirror as well. And look at the blushes. They
05:38 are just beautiful. They've got highlighters, blushes, bronzers, everything. And they're
05:45 really sparkly and sheeny and shimmery so I thought they'd be perfect for this look.
05:49 I'm not going to use a bronzer as I said. This is a strobing tutorial so no contouring
05:54 but I will use a nice shimmery blush. I think I'm going to use this one here. It's like
06:04 a peachy pink colour. I'm going to use this new brush from ZOEVA that I picked up from
06:12 IMATS. It's the 114 Luxe Face Focus Brush from ZOEVA. And it's kind of a little bit
06:19 domed so let's see. It's very small so it's perfect for precise application on the apples
06:29 of the cheeks. Next I'm going to use a highlighter out of this little contour kit called Ultrasculpting
06:38 Contour Kit in Light Medium number C04. This is what it looks like. It's supposed to come
06:44 with...well it looks like...it says blusher, highlighter and bronzer but I wouldn't really
06:51 call this a blusher. It's more like a shimmery bronzer. And this one is kind of more matte.
06:58 And the highlighter is shimmery obviously. And the highlighters I'm going to use not
07:02 just to highlight the cheekbones but I'm going to highlight everywhere where the sun
07:07 would catch you, where it would reflect on your skin. So it would be the cheekbones,
07:13 below and above the eyebrow, so also on the bridge of the nose, the chin and the cupid's
07:19 bow as well as the inner corners of the eyes but you could do that with eyeshadow. And
07:23 I'm going to use this big fan brush and this is by BH Cosmetics. So this is basically what
07:35 strobing is, just highlighting and highlighting all the high points of the face like I did.
07:43 Next...what shall we do next? That was the main thing really. Next we're kind of going
07:46 to finish off the look. I'm going to use...I'm going to start with the eyes and I'm going
07:53 to use...well let me show you. I've got this Revolution Baked Eyeshadow...I was going to
08:00 say trio but it's not a trio. It's got five little baked shadows in the colour Chocolate
08:08 Deluxe. It looks like this. I don't know how well you can see it but I'm going to open
08:13 it to show you. This is what it looks like and I actually took this with me on holiday.
08:18 It's really really nice. The shadows are very pigmented and it's got like a champagne colour
08:26 and a pinky, purpley, very light shade up here. And then we've got like a coral, brown
08:34 and sort of bronze. So yeah, I'm going to use all of these to kind of create a very
08:40 simple eye and then I'm going to use the Makeup Revolution Awesome Double Flick Liquid Eyeliner
08:47 as well as the Viper Mascara. This is what it looks like. I'll use all of these and I'll
08:55 speak through it because I don't want this tutorial to be super long. As I said earlier,
08:58 I'm going to use a couple of the blushes on my eyes because you can use them really for
09:03 anything and I'm going to use this one and this one.

11:00 Okay guys, I'm back. I'm really sorry I had to go away and do my eyeliner off camera because
11:05 I just can't do it properly on camera. Every time I've tried, it ends up being wonky or
11:09 something so I need to get really close to the mirror and do it rather than in front
11:15 of the camera. It just doesn't work. So I've done the little cat eye flick. So next, I'm
11:22 going to go with the mascara. Like I said, it's the Viper Mascara. It says Viper Mascara
11:27 with Eye. It looks like this. I like the packaging actually and I've used it in a previous tutorial.
11:33 I believe it was the Valentine's Day tutorial I did and this is what it looks like. The
11:39 actual wand is very interesting and it does kind of lengthen and volumize the lashes.
11:45 Okay, next I'm going to go with some falsies from Esquido. I have actually done a blog
11:50 post and they used a different pair. I think they're called Unforgettable. These ones are
11:55 the new ones called Miss Dolly. They are recently received and I wanted to use them. They're
12:00 absolutely beautiful. First of all, the packaging is really nice, like white and with a little
12:04 rose gold writing here saying Esquido Lashes. When you open them, they just look so so nice.
12:13 Rose gold, again I don't know how well you can see it, it's kind of reflecting onto my
12:17 life. Yeah, so really nice natural mink fur lashes. Really lovely. You can tell the quality
12:24 is so much better than the fake, cheaply made lashes. These are definitely more expensive
12:31 but they're worth the money because you can use them and reuse them so many times. Something
12:35 like up to 25 uses. I've already trimmed them but I've put them back in the tray just to
12:40 show you. They're beautiful and they're quite easy to apply so I'm going to show you how
12:46 I apply them. I'm going to use the Jiro Clear Wipe Adhesive. It goes white but it dries
12:53 clear and a pair of tweezers. All you have to do is apply some glue onto the lash, let
12:59 it dry, go a little bit tacky for a few seconds before you apply it onto your eyelid. I'm
13:04 sure you guys can see the difference. This eye has the false lash and this one doesn't.
13:09 And I love how the false lashes complete the look and make it more glamorous, more finished
13:16 and completed. And I just love Esquido because they're so natural and they don't look fake
13:21 and they don't feel heavy or anything. I think they look really pretty. So to finish off
13:27 this makeup look, I'm going to apply some lipstick and lip gloss. This is the lipstick
13:31 in, it doesn't have a number, but it's in colour Bliss and it looks like this. I'll
13:36 show you. It's a really nice, I'll describe it as a peachy coral shade and I think it's
13:43 perfect for summer. And then on top of that, I'm going to go with the Revolution Amazing
13:49 Lip Gloss in the colour Coral. And again, very similar shade with some gold sparkles.
