00:03 So today I decided to do a makeup tutorial and I was thinking long and hard about what
00:08 to do and I just couldn't think of anything and I remembered that in my first video, the
00:14 About Me Tag, I had mentioned something about Debbie Lovato's Cool For The Summer being
00:21 my favorite song of the moment.
00:23 So I decided to recreate a look from that music video and this is what I came up with.
00:28 It's very dark, very vampy, smoky, glowy.
00:35 It's not for everybody, it's not an everyday look but if you want to know how I created
00:40 this look, just keep watching.
00:44 Hi guys, so I'm going to start off the look today with my MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot.
00:48 I'm just going to buff that all over my lid to prep my eyelid for eyeshadow.
01:00 I'm also using tape for the look today because I want an edge so sharp you could cut somebody
01:05 with it.
01:09 Most of this look is going to be done with the Battle Ash for Saucebox palette and I'm
01:12 going to go right in with the shade Vanilla and just set my base with that from the crease
01:19 to the brow.
01:20 I'm then going in with Makeup Beaches and Cream and a Morphe M441 brush just in the
01:26 crease as my transition shade.
01:28 I'm just buffing it back and forth in windshield wiper motions.
01:33 I'm then going in with the shade Winter Brown and a Morphe M330 brush.
01:40 It's slightly tapered so it kind of gets into that crease area a little bit better than
01:45 the M441 brush.
01:47 So I'm using again windshield wiper motions and buffing it a little bit more right underneath
01:52 the front of my brow because I like to be a little bit more defined there.
01:57 I'm then going in with the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Black Bean and I got this brush in my Ipsy
02:03 bag a million years ago so I have no idea what it's called but I'm just buffing that
02:07 onto my mobile lid.
02:09 Simply from the lash line up to the crease.
02:11 It doesn't have to be me because we're going to blend it out anyways.
02:17 I'm then taking the shade Lace Noir.
02:20 It's the black in the palette.
02:22 I have no idea what this brush is either.
02:24 I've had it in my kit forever but we're just using that to blend out that crease and packing
02:30 on a little bit more of the black.
02:36 I'm then going in with my M433 again and a little bit of Winter Brown just to really
02:45 buff out that line.
02:47 This look really is all about blending you guys.
02:50 Blend until your fingers bleed because with a dark smokey eye like this you just really
02:55 need to blend.
02:57 Like back and forth and back and forth in circle motions, windshield wiper motions,
03:01 blend blend blend blend blend blend blend.
03:06 I'm going back in to Lace Noir and I'm going to darken up the crease a little bit and then
03:11 create a little bit of a wing to get that winged effect.
03:20 I'm going in then with Beaches of Cream and a Sigma E40 and what do you know guys, I'm
03:26 blending again.
03:29 Just trying to blend out any harsh lines.
03:32 So keep blending and blend and blend and blend and blend.
03:39 After you are thoroughly satisfied with your blending you can now remove the tape and as
03:44 you can see it gives that perfect sharp line.
03:47 We do want to kind of soften the line a little bit so just take a fluffy blending brush and
03:53 what do you know, blend again.
03:57 I'm then going to prime my face with the Too Faced Hangover Primer.
04:01 I'm oily skinned so this primer isn't always best for it.
04:04 It is really moisturizing but for this look I want it to be really really moisturized
04:07 and dewy.
04:11 I'm double priming today with Smashbox Primer Water as well.
04:14 Unnecessary but you know.
04:17 I'm using Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in the shade 4.0 and Becca Cosmetics Shimmering
04:26 Skin Perfector Liquid in Moonstone and mixing that together, dotting it all over my face
04:31 and using a damp beauty blender to blend it all in.
04:35 Just using pouncing motions I guess.
04:39 If you guys don't have a beauty blender, invest in one.
04:41 I know they're expensive but the dupes out there really aren't the same.
04:46 This thing is the best thing, the best thing that you can have in your makeup kit or arsenal
04:53 to help you receive that flawless foundation look.
05:00 Blending it down into my neck because my face is four shades lighter than the rest of my
05:06 body.
05:07 Like everybody I feel like.
05:11 I exfoliate, you know.
05:17 I'm then using my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer and using the other side of my beauty blender
05:22 which is why you guys need to invest in one to apply and blend that all out.
05:27 I'm also using it to highlight the face so I'm going to get on top of my cheekbones,
05:31 my forehead, the tip of my nose, my lip and the chin as well.
05:41 I'm then going in with my Kat Von D Shade and Life Palette in the shade Lyric and I
05:45 am using my Real Techniques Setting Brush and setting my under eye with that.
05:52 If I don't set my under eye, everything is going to crease on me so that's that.
05:59 I'm then using MAC's Give Me Sun in a Sigma F10 brush to bronze up my face.
06:04 I'm going ham in the bronzer today guys.
06:07 I don't normally go this heavy with bronzer but she was super bronzed and super glowy
06:12 in this video.
06:13 So to stay true to Demi Lovato, I go ham in the bronzer.
06:33 I then go back into my Kat Von D Palette and use the shade Subconscious and my NARS Eater
06:38 brush to contour my face.
06:39 You want to get right into the hollows of your cheek and just contour to get that Kim
06:46 Kardashian vibe.
06:48 I'm using the shade Subconscious as well as a travel size Sigma E25 to contour my nose.

07:00 I'm more than willing to show you how I get my nose super snatched.
07:07 Apparently I'm now taking a water break.
07:12 Okay, let's move on.
07:16 I'm blending out that nose contour with the same F10 brush from Sigma just so it's not
07:21 as harsh.
07:22 I'm then using another Becca product, I'm sorry, but it's the Shimmering Skin Perfector.
07:28 This time it's Poured and I'm using just my ring finger to tap that on the highest point
07:33 of my cheekbones, right above my eyebrow, my forehead, the tip of the nose, the bridge
07:42 of my nose, my cupid's bow, and apparently right underneath my lower lip because highlight's
07:53 got to be on fleek and I'm using a ton of highlight today because she was super glowy.
07:57 So I'm using MAC Global Glow and this is the Morphe, I do believe it is the B8 fan brush.
08:03 I'm just going over all of those spots that I already went over.
08:07 And then I'm again going in with another highlighter and it is the Balm Mary Lou Manizer.
08:14 And then drenching my face in Fix Plus and apparently getting my groove on.
08:21 Jamming out a little bit.
08:25 Okay a lot.
08:26 Move on Marlena.
08:30 And then going in with the Sigma E25 full size brush and Makeup Beaches in Cream and
08:37 buffing that underneath my lower lash line just to give out that blown out effect.
08:42 Oh my god, I will get this one day you guys, I promise.
08:46 And then going in with Winter Brown and a Morphe M151 brush and adding another transition
08:51 shade just like we did on the upper lash line or upper crease area.
08:57 I'm using MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder on my waterline and then smudging it out with a little bit
09:02 of Lace Noir and a Sigma E15 brush.
09:12 And then taking Winter Brown again and then blending out some more with a Sigma E20 brush.
09:21 And then going in with a Morphe M139 brush and Nylon from MAC to add more highlight and
09:28 extra glow apparently also to my Cupid's bow.
09:31 Moving on to brows, I'm using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz to just shape my brows.
09:38 I do like a little bit of a fuller brow.
09:40 I do have full brows to begin with but who the heck cares.
09:45 We want big old full bushy eyebrows.
09:47 Cara Delevingne would be jealous.
09:49 If you guys want a full eyebrow routine just let me know as well because I'll probably
09:56 give it to you anyways just because it's fun.
09:58 I'm then curling the lashes and I'm going to apply Benefit's Roller Lash as a base mascara
10:07 to prep my eyelashes for falsies.
10:16 The falsies that I'm using today are from Social Eyes and they're in the style Vixen.
10:20 I will say they are my favorite lashes at the moment and I wear them every day with
10:24 no shame.
10:25 And you know what is real you guys?
10:29 The struggle.
10:30 The struggle is so real when it comes to putting on lashes.
10:34 I'm then finishing off my eyes with some mascara on my lower lash line and that's the finished
10:41 eye look.
10:46 And apparently I lied.
10:47 I'm actually going to finish the eye look by putting a little bit of the Balm Marylou Manizer
10:53 underneath my brow bone just for that highlighted effect because Demi was glowy as a mother
10:58 in that video.
11:00 If you watch it you'll understand.
11:04 To finish my lips off or to start my lips I should say I'm using NYX Lip Liner in the
11:10 shade Natural.
11:11 I do like to over line my lips a little bit.
11:14 Sue me.
11:15 Don't worry.
11:16 I know I have big lips but I like to over line them just a tad bit.
11:21 And then going in with NARS, dear god you guys I'm going to butcher this name so bad,
11:26 Rykugen?
11:27 Rykugen?
11:28 I have no idea.
11:31 I figured that was a little too pink for the look so I went over it with MAC's Shy Girl
11:34 to give it a little bit more of a peachy effect.
11:37 And then top the whole look off with Dior Cosmetics Butter Cream Lip Gloss.
11:54 And then once again gave myself a fixed blush shower.
11:58 And that you guys is the completed Demi Lovato cool for the summer makeup look.
