Violations Probe Targets Musk
Elon Musk and X Corp., the parent company of Twitter, are facing an investigation into building code violations at Twitter's San Francisco headquarters, according to public records. The investigation comes after six former Twitter employees filed a lawsuit claiming that Musk's "transition team" instructed them to break local and federal laws, including making unsafe modifications to the office space. The lawsuit claims that rooms in the headquarters were converted into "hotel rooms" without proper authorization, and employees were told to install locks that did not meet safety codes. The lawsuit further alleges that Musk's transition team instructed employees to refuse to pay rent to landlords. Twitter has not provided a comment on the matter.
