Vice President Kamala Harris spoke during a virtual presentation to congressional leaders as debt limit talks continue. During the presentation Harris made the administrations position clear, that Congress must act. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy sounded positive about the direction of the talks telling CNN he sees how they can get to a deal and that he wants a bill on the floor next week. If lawmakers don't reach an agreement on the debt limit it'll mark the first time in history the government can't pay its bills, which may affect whether you can pay your bills.
