Some legal services suspended due to lack of funding
  • 11 months ago
Aboriginal Legal Services will freeze operations across 13 local courts in regional New South Wales from Monday saying they can't keep up with demand and they need emergency federal funding. It follows the suspension of similar services in parts of Queensland last month and leaves people involved in family, criminal, care, and protection cases without help. A request for emergency federal funding wasn't met in this year’s budget.
