00:00 We had some surprises with the semi-final.

00:02 Two songs that were expected to go through from Iceland and Denmark did not go through.

00:07 That may have been because of some quite weak vocals on the night.

00:11 The other three countries that didn't go through were Georgia, San Marino, blanking on the

00:17 other one.

00:18 But the ten songs that were chosen to go through will now join the other ten that were selected

00:23 on Tuesday night, and also the big five.

00:26 So those are the five biggest countries in Eurovision, the UK, Spain, Germany, France

00:33 and Italy.

00:34 They don't have to compete in the semi-finals, they go straight through.

00:38 Now the bookies actually give France a pretty good shot this year.

00:41 They have them third in the possibility to win.

00:44 The number one with the bookies right now is Sweden, and number two is Finland.

00:49 But there's some thoughts that Sweden and Finland might kind of cancel each other out

00:53 because they're kind of appealing to the same demographic.

00:55 It's a big, glitzy stage show, quite camp.

00:59 The French entry is going back to the successful model that they had two years ago with Barbara

01:07 It's her on the stage singing a quite dramatic song, but it's also got a little bit of a

01:12 And it's thought that maybe if that vote that really likes the big theatrical numbers, if

01:18 that's split between Sweden and Finland, France could be in there with a shot.
