Uddhav Thackeray Dares Eknath Shinde & BJP To Face Elections, Day After Supreme Court Order
  • 11 months ago
On May 12, former chief minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray challenged CM Eknath Shinde and his ally BJP to face fresh elections. This comes a day after the Supreme Court said Eknath Shinde will remain the chief minister of the state. This came as a huge set-back for team Thackeray. Thackeray said, “Let's all face fresh elections and let people take the final call. As I resigned, the Chief Minister should also resign on moral grounds.” Thackeray also said that he would approach the top court once again if the speaker did not take a decision on the disqualification of Shiv Sena MLAs who had rebelled last year.
