Robinhood Launches 24-Hour Trading on Over 40 Stocks and ETFs

Robinhood, the US-based trading platform, has announced that starting May 16th it will allow users to trade certain stocks and exchange-traded funds 24 hours a day during the week. The move, which will enable round-the-clock trading on over 40 stocks and ETFs, is part of the company’s push to grow revenue and reach profitability. Monthly active users for the first quarter were 11.8 million, up from 11.4 million in the fourth quarter but down by around 25 percent from last year. In addition to expanding its trading offerings, Robinhood also plans to offer advisory services and futures trading by year-end, subject to regulatory approval.
