Supporters of Imran Khan have been protesting in Pakistan. The former Prime Minister of Pakistan was arrested on May 9 by paramilitary rangers from the Islamabad High Court. After Khan’s arrest, protesters entered the compound of the army commanders' residence in Lahore. Protesters attacked the army headquarters in Rawalpindi and chanted slogans against the administration. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters came out on the streets to protest soon after Khan’s arrest. “Section 144 is in force and action will be taken in case of violation,\" the Islamabad police tweeted.
