#13. I Joined Alpha Phi Omega. This is Why I Dropped.

×There was noise being made, so I look away from the camera a lot.
×I looked at my notes, and it's another reason why I repeated some points. My bad.

1. I joined APO because I wanted a place to call home. My mind wanted to say it twice. I repeated it twice by mistake, but its worth noting. That subconsciously is my reason. A place where I can be apart of something bigger than myself, and a place to call home.
2. I talk about how I saw white privilege play out in my own chapter. It happened so much that you can read the writing on the wall.
3. I do not hate anyone, but I'm sharing my story and wanted to answer some questions I was asked honestly. This came up on my mind.
4. I've tried to be nice to some APO people and they took it the wrong way. I seen some APO people out in public and they act like they don't know me. I've sent "congratulations" notes, flowers, donuts, nice to meet you cards, etc to new friends old friends and everyone else in between on different occasions JUST TO BE KIND. I'm not the jealous type and love to see people doing well. APO people usually had the meanest response, and other friend groups appreciated it more (and didn't accuse me of following them around). We run into each other at events and we are happy to see each other.
5. I no longer want to be apart of APO even as an alumni. Life goes on and other people will join. ❤
