Twitter co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey has been expressing his disappointment with the company's new owner, Elon Musk, using new social networks such as Bluesky and Nostr. He is backing Twitter’s new competitors, having funded Bluesky in 2019, a project that would allow all social networks to be decentralized, and donating 14 Bitcoin to the pseudonymous creator of Nostr in December 2022. Dorsey has supported decentralized social networks, which would give users control over their experiences and prevent companies from imposing rules on what is said in the network.
