00:00 Hey guys, it's Jen and today I wanted to share with you a day to night look inspired by Mila Kunis.
00:06 In one of my last videos, I asked you guys what celebrity look you'd like to see me recreate
00:11 and so many of you said Mila Kunis and I am such a big fan of hers.
00:16 She's so talented and beautiful and I absolutely wanted to do that for you.
00:21 So I actually recently happened to receive this mega booklet of 80 eyeshadows from Sephora.
00:28 Look, doesn't that just totally give you a heart attack?
00:31 So I thought it was a perfect opportunity to do a couple of looks inspired by Mila Kunis
00:38 using the shadows in this palette.
00:40 And don't worry, all of these shadows you can buy individually.
00:44 So when I use them, I'll like tell you what shadow colors they are and everything
00:48 in case you want to recreate the exact look, it'll be easy for you guys.
00:52 If you want to see these looks, then go ahead and keep watching and I'll show you how it's done.
00:57 To start off, I just apply to Urban Decay's Naked Skin Foundation in shade 4 all over my face
01:03 and then I use Makeup Forever's Full Cover Concealer in shade 7 to just cover any other spots.
01:08 So I'm just taking Tarte's Smooth Operator Powder and I'm just taking this powder brush
01:13 and I'm going to set my foundation.
01:15 For the eyes, I'm going to start out by using a primer.
01:18 I'm just applying Too Faced Shadow Insurance all over my lids on the upper and lower lash line.
01:24 I'm taking this shimmery shadow called Movie Popcorn.
01:27 Apply this shade just to the center of the lid and blend out toward the edges.
01:32 This lighter shadow should catch the light and just brighten up the whole face.
01:37 Next, I'm taking this shimmer peach shadow called Indian Summer
01:40 and angling my brush toward my eye like this, I'm just going to apply this to the outer crease area.
01:47 Concentrate most of the color right here and then bring the shadow in so it hugs that lighter golden color.
01:55 Next, I'm taking this matte creamy shade called Lazy Afternoon.
01:59 I'm going to apply this right beneath the brow bone.
02:02 It's a very natural highlight shade.
02:04 Now, going back in with the peachy color from earlier, I'm going to just apply this down,
02:09 bring it all the way across and I'm going to take the champagne color
02:13 and apply that just to my inner corners and right in that inner tear duct area.
02:19 It's going to add a little bit extra brightness to this really easygoing daytime look.
02:25 Now, I'm going to take a black pencil eyeliner and grab a little bit of that.
02:29 And this is really going to work well with the gel textured pencil liners like the Urban Decay one.
02:35 I'm just going to apply this to my lash line, kind of like applying any other gel eyeliner,
02:41 but this is going to give a more smudgy, smoked out effect.
02:45 I don't want to make any lines too harsh since it is a daytime look,
02:49 so we're going to just try to get a softer kind of line.
02:53 Using the same eyeliner, I'm just going to apply this to my lower lash line
02:58 and a little bit onto my waterline as well.
03:02 I'm going to also bring that all the way to the inside of the lashes.
03:06 And then just to soften up that line, I'm taking a bit of that shadow from earlier
03:11 and I'm going to blend out the edges.
03:13 Next, I'm going to curl my lashes and I'm going to apply my Urban Decay Cannonball mascara to my lashes.
03:20 Next, I'm going to add a bit of eyebrow color.
03:23 Mila always has really dramatic eyebrows, so I'm going to fill them in a little bit darker this time.
03:29 Strong eyebrows are really going to nicely frame the whole eye.
03:33 So just use little strokes to emulate the drawing in of little hairs.
03:39 Now I'm just taking this natural pinky peach blush.
03:42 This is Benefit's Coralista and I'm going to apply this to my cheeks,
03:47 starting at the outer corners here.
03:49 I'm just going to bring this forward just to give a really natural flush to the cheeks.
03:54 We're going to finish off our daytime look by applying a very natural lip color.
04:00 This is Clinique's Chubby Stick in Curviest Caramel.
04:03 Alright, so this is my final daytime look and I think it's really easy to kind of wear
04:11 and pop on your face and just kind of dash out the door.
04:15 But now we have to modify it to be able to go out in the evening with some of our friends
04:21 and just kind of like give it a little bit of smoke and edge.
04:25 So to do that, we're going to take a few more colors and add it to this
04:30 and get ready for going out at night.
04:32 To start giving some edge to this look, I'm going to start off with this eyeshadow
04:36 in a shimmer finish called Rock the Runway.
04:39 If we look at where the shadow we placed earlier was,
04:42 it's kind of already giving us a guideline of where we should add the newer shadow.
04:46 So I'm going to start off right here on the center of the lid
04:49 and start rocking back and forth in a half moon shape.
04:53 Don't go too far in because we still want to keep some of this frosty color on the inner corner.
04:58 We just want to blend this purple up to where the shimmery color was earlier.
05:04 So right where that arch is.
05:06 We can still take the orangey shadow from before and use that as a blending color
05:11 to kind of blend that into the edges of the arch.
05:15 Now I'm taking this blackened shimmer shade called My Little Black Dress
05:19 and I'm just taking this small pencil brush and applying this to the outer corner near the base.
05:26 We're really going to pump up the intensity and winging that out.
05:32 This should create a gradient-like smokey eye effect
05:36 where it's darker at the outer corner and also the closer you get to the lash line.
05:42 I'm going to take a little more of that black shade
05:44 and really work on smoking out the lower lash line.
05:48 Normally I would use a lighter color,
05:51 but Mila's red carpet smokey eye is extremely black and smoky,
05:56 so I want to get this really, really dark.
05:59 This is going to go almost all the way to the inner corners.
06:03 The next step I'm going to do is use pencil eyeliner
06:06 and I am really, really going to line the waterline as black as possible.
06:11 And I'm going to use that completely on the inner rim.
06:15 On the inner corners, just roll the pencil so that it gets right where you need it.
06:20 To make it even more intensely black, I'm taking a bit of my powder shadow
06:25 and I'm just going to pat this on top of the eyeliner.
06:29 Not too close to my inner tear duct or anything, just kind of on this outer edge.
06:33 Now because I have naturally extremely short lashes,
06:36 to really amp up this look for nighttime, I'm going to put on some false lashes.
06:40 So now just apply these as close to your lash line as possible.
06:45 Now I'm just taking the darker color from my eyebrow set
06:48 and I'm going to intensify the brows.
06:50 I'm just going to apply this to the inner third of my eyebrows,
06:55 so that it's darkest right in that beginning section.
06:59 I'm taking this gorgeous sparkly color called Walking in the Sand,
07:03 and to give my eyes one last final touch, I'm going to use my finger on the shadow.
07:08 I'm going to lightly press that into the center of the lid.
07:14 And that'll just add a little bit something extra to your eyes every time you blink.
07:18 To make this look a little bit more nighttime, I'm going to add a little bit of bronzer.
07:22 This is from Too Faced, and I am just going to add that in areas that I kind of want to contour.
07:30 So right here by my jawline, underneath my cheekbones, also here by my hairline.
07:38 And to finish off the look, I'm going to make my lips a little bit less pink
07:42 and a little bit more nude to balance out the smoky eyes.
07:45 So I'm going to take my Too Faced La Creme lipstick in Nude Beach.
07:49 It's just kind of a nude color.
07:51 Mixing the two lipstick colors is going to give it a little bit more of a nude effect
07:58 without completely erasing the pink color from before.
08:01 Thank you guys so much for watching, and I hope you enjoyed my very first day to night transformation.
08:07 If you did, don't forget to thumbs up the video and leave me a comment down below
08:11 if you want to see any future celebrity-inspired looks.
08:15 So I guess that's about it, and I will see you in my next video. Bye!
08:20 Now I have to move on to the eyes.
08:22 Are we recording still?
08:26 [music]
08:32 What the heck was that?
08:35 Say goodbye to all our company.
08:39 That was not a going out song.
08:41 The shadows in it of--oh my gosh, what's my leg doing?
08:45 (laughing)
