Reacting to the allegations made by Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala that BJP leaders were plotting the murder of party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on May 6 that he would inquire into the issue and take action according to the law.

“We will take the matter seriously. We will inquire into the whole thing, and the law will take its course,” Bommai said.

Earlier today, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said, “BJP leaders are now hatching a plot to murder Mallikarjun Kharge and his family members. This is now clear from the recording of the BJP's candidate from Chittapur, who also happens to be the blue-eyed boy of PM Modi and CM Bommai.”
