00:02 - Hi everyone, my name is Marin,
00:08 and today I'm going to be doing a makeup tutorial
00:12 on how to bring out green tones in eyes.
00:14 I think this is a great kind of like everyday type look.
00:17 I wear it to work pretty often, so it's fairly versatile.
00:20 If you can tell, I have no makeup on right now,
00:24 and so I'm ready to get started, so let's go.
00:29 Um, the first thing I'm gonna do
00:31 is I'm going to clip back my hair,
00:33 so it doesn't get in my face,
00:36 and sorry, my mirror's over here,
00:38 so if you see me looking over here,
00:41 that's what I'm looking at.
00:43 Okay, so the first thing I'm going to do is foundation.
00:47 I'm gonna be using my NARS Sheer Glow Foundation,
00:52 and let me take my wig off,
00:54 and I just apply it directly with my hands.
00:56 I think it just blends the best this way,
00:58 and also, I kind of have a hatred of foundation brushes,
01:04 because I feel like they're always,
01:08 get so much product like stuck in them
01:10 that I lose so much product.
01:12 So once I have my foundation on,
01:15 I am then going to move on to my concealer.
01:18 It's the Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer,
01:20 mine is in the color Ivory.
01:22 I'm using a bit of a lighter color,
01:24 because just to highlight certain areas,
01:29 and I'm gonna do it under my eyes as well.
01:31 So I'm just gonna blend this in underneath my eye.
01:38 Okay, great.
01:39 Then I'm going to
01:41 just take a regular eyeshadow brush,
01:46 and I'm using this with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder,
01:49 you can see it,
01:50 and I'm applying this specifically to underneath my eye,
01:54 where I put the concealer on,
01:56 because I have a tendency,
01:59 my skin is kind of a mess, basically.
02:01 Like, my skin is half really dry,
02:04 like the fricking Sahara Desert,
02:06 and then my skin is half really oily,
02:08 like, I don't know,
02:10 something that's really oily,
02:12 hair that has been washed in three weeks.
02:15 And so underneath my eyes
02:17 tends to get pretty oily and greasy.
02:20 Then I'm going to apply Aquaphor to my lips.
02:23 Okay, there we go.
02:24 My lips are back to life.
02:26 Okay, then I'm gonna take a fluffy foundation brush,
02:30 and again, my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.
02:31 So I'm gonna be applying this specifically to my T-zone.
02:35 So I'm just gonna take some of this, woo, powder,
02:38 and knock some of this off,
02:40 and here we go.
02:42 The next step is,
02:43 now I'm gonna start working on my eyes.
02:44 I'm gonna come back to bronzer and blush afterwards.
02:48 I just wanna work on my eyes right now.
02:50 So what I'm going to do is
02:53 (lips smacking)
02:55 first I'm gonna put on my Urban Decay Primer Potion.
02:58 To be honest, I really actually don't like the primer potion
03:02 but I hate, hate, hate wasting makeup products,
03:07 especially when they're expensive.
03:08 Like, this stuff isn't very cheap.
03:10 So I will use it to the bitter end.
03:12 Okay, now I'm going to fill in my brows.
03:15 I've honestly don't like brow pencils.
03:19 I've tried using them before
03:21 and they're just not my thing.
03:23 So I've always basically used like an angle brush
03:28 and then with a powder.
03:29 The powder I'm using for my eyes, it's a NARS color.
03:33 It's the shade Bengali.
03:35 It's just like a darker brown.
03:39 Okay, and just to warn you,
03:46 I do like quite a dark eyebrow
03:49 and like a big eyebrow, bold eyebrows.
03:51 Kind of always have.
03:52 So if this is too extreme for you,
03:53 of course you can fill your brows in however you're used to.
03:56 And I do think they're kind of uneven right now.
03:59 Sorry, this is my first time I've done this like in a mirror
04:02 and not in like a regular mirror.
04:04 So sorry if they're uneven.
04:06 Okay, then I'm gonna start with my shadow.
04:10 So I'm using, actually I'm just using my like $1 elf brush.
04:15 I really don't like a lot of the elf brushes
04:20 but I think that this one is quite good
04:23 and it's literally like a dollar and six cents.
04:26 So yeah, this is MAC Satin Taupe
04:29 and I'm going to be applying this basically
04:31 all over the lid portion of my eye.
04:33 And I'm just gonna pack this on my brush
04:38 and I'm gonna start at my lash line
04:41 and just kind of work my way up.
04:44 Okay, so now I have the Satin Taupe
04:50 all over my lids and I'm gonna move on to my next color.
04:53 I am using MAC Sable or no,
04:56 I've called this Sable my whole life
04:58 and I just looked at the bottom and it's called Saddle.
05:00 So anyway, it's just like a lighter brown type color.
05:04 I'm gonna take some of this on this brush
05:07 and I'm gonna be applying this in my crease.
05:10 So I'm just gonna be starting on the outside
05:12 and then working my way inside.
05:14 And you can do little circles,
05:18 you can do big windshield wipers
05:21 and I'm just gonna slowly just build up the brown color.
05:27 So now that I have this applied,
05:29 then I'm going to take the shade, this is Embark.
05:34 It's like a very dark brown.
05:37 This is also MAC, the last two colors I've used are all MAC.
05:41 And I'm going to apply this
05:43 just in the little V part of my eye,
05:45 so just this inner portion right here
05:46 just to kind of darken up the outside.
05:48 And I'm taking this on a smaller crease brush
05:50 because I want it to be more pointed,
05:53 pointed, more, I don't know how to describe it.
05:57 Sorry if the angle looks a little bit different
06:04 or like the coloring looks different.
06:06 My apartment managers just came by
06:08 to take a look at my hot water heater
06:10 'cause it's like, it was vibrating the house
06:13 violently this morning and they came by
06:16 and it took like an hour.
06:17 So I had to stop filming and help them do that.
06:19 And then I kind of had to reset everything up.
06:20 So sorry if it looks different, I apologize about that.
06:24 Let's continue.
06:25 So what I'm gonna do is I'm applying Saddle.
06:28 It's the lighter brown color underneath my eye
06:31 with my smaller pointed crease brush.
06:33 So this is just gonna go right underneath my eye.
06:36 And while the apartment managers were here,
06:41 I also had basically the most embarrassing moment
06:45 of my entire life happen.

07:18 I really need to sharpen it,
07:20 but my sharpener's not close by
07:22 and I don't wanna go grab it.
07:23 So this is just gonna go on my waterline.
07:25 Now I love to darken up the corners of my eyes.
07:29 This is completely optional.
07:30 You can skip this if you would like, but I like to do it.
07:32 So what I'm doing is I'm taking,
07:34 this is MAC's Kohl Power Eye Pencil in the shade Feline.
07:38 Any black eyeliner that's smudgy will work.
07:41 And I'm just gonna apply this right in
07:44 the outside corner of my eye on my lash line.
07:48 So not on my waterline, but on my lash line.
07:50 And you really don't need that much.
07:52 And then I'm just gonna take my finger
07:55 and I'm just gonna smudge it out a little bit.
07:58 Now I'm just gonna lightly line the top.
08:01 I don't wanna do a big thick line,
08:02 I just want a smaller, thinner line.
08:06 So I'm using the L'Oreal Telescopic
08:10 in the black color, it's called Carbon Black.
08:12 I don't know if there's a difference
08:13 between this and a regular black.
08:15 Okay, so now I've done my liner.
08:18 I'm just going to let that dry.
08:22 And while I'm letting it dry, I'm going to,
08:25 before I do curl my lashes and do my mascara,
08:27 I am going to put on my bronzer and my blush.
08:30 So I am using the Benefit Hoola Bronzer.
08:34 Again, not my favorite,
08:35 but I don't like wasting expensive products.
08:38 So I will use it till the end.
08:40 It's almost empty right now.
08:41 I'm gonna suck in my cheeks.
08:43 Okay, then I am going,
08:56 I just feel like it doesn't give off any color.
08:58 Like, do I look any different?
08:59 I don't feel like I look any different, but it's fine.
09:02 Then I'm going to apply my blush.
09:04 I am using the shade Warm Soul by MAC.
09:09 My lid fell off like a while ago and it broke.
09:12 So I don't have a lid for this, but this is the shade.
09:15 I'm just applying this on the cheeks.
09:17 Now I'm going to curl my lashes and apply mascara.
09:27 I'm using the Lancome Hypnose Drama.
09:36 Okay, I apologize, my camera battery died on me.
09:39 But all I did is I just finished my mascara.
09:42 I put on a little bit of a highlight.
09:44 I just use MAC's Pigment in Gold Mode.
09:46 I just put some on, just a little bit on my finger,
09:48 and then I just dabbed it in the inner corner of my eye.
09:51 But I only have one more thing left to do,
09:53 and that's my lips.
09:54 So I'm using MAC's Viva Glam 5 on my lips.

10:01 This look also looks great with a plum-y type lip.
10:10 I've done that before too, and I love the way that looks.
10:13 I just want something more neutral right now.
10:15 And then on top of that, just in the center,
10:18 I am going to be using the Tanya Burr Lip Gloss
10:20 in the shade Smile Dream Sparkle.
10:22 But I'm just using this right in the center.
10:25 And this is just gonna brighten up my lip a bit.

10:30 And these lip glosses,
10:34 they smell like strawberries,
10:37 and it smells so freaking good.
10:40 Okay, and let me just take my clips down.
