Wesak Day was observed on a grand scale among Buddhists in Malaysia on Thursday (May 4), albeit with some masking up and staying vigilant to the lingering spectre of Covid-19 after two years of muted celebration.
In conjunction with Wesak Day, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, as well as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, wished the Buddhists in the country a Happy Wesak Day.
