00:00 There are a lot of strange musical styles, and today we're going to talk about Funk.
00:04 This style was created in the 2000s by DJ Skrew and Damafia Six,
00:07 but it really exploded 10 years later thanks to Soundcloud.
00:11 It's a music style characterized by samples of voices from Memphis rap,
00:15 and more generally by samples of hip-hop and jazz from the 90s.
00:19 The pretty incredible thing is that it's a style that has developed in a lot of different ambiences.
00:23 There is very aggressive Funk music, a lot more chill Funk music.
00:26 How to listen to Funk? Well, here are three artists.
00:29 First, we can mention Space Ghost Purp, who is considered one of the artists who popularized the word "Funk".
00:35 We can then talk about Stay Sold, which is a big hit for me.
00:38 They are especially known for their song "Totalitarianism 1" and everything, which I find incredible.
00:43 And to finish with more chill music, we can talk about Interworld,
00:54 which is well known and which is in a slightly different style.
