The Flash is revisiting the events of Man of Steel, although it is most likely a multiverse scenario. Between Zod’s return and the Kryptonian ships, The Flash has all the tools to recreate the very first DCEU battle. Man of Steel may be a divisive take on Superman, but the action pieces featuring the Kryptonians were a highlight of the entire franchise. Man of Steel’s fighting scenes hold up well to this day, setting the bar high for The Flash. The DCEU’s Barry Allen presumably only became the Flash after Man of Steel, but he will now have to face the same villains who Superman once fought.

Kryptonians are not necessarily speedsters, but they move way faster than any human. Man of Steel’s Kryptonian fight sequences, especially the ones with Faora in Smallville, teased what the Flash’s powers could look like in the DCEU. However, Zack Snyder eventually went with a different style for how the Flash runs in Justice League. Likewise, Barry Allen’s powers will be displayed differently in The Flash compared to Justice League. Still, seeing a speedster fighting Kryptonians in a multiversal recreation of Man of Steel’s Black Zero event sounds exciting. In addition, Batman and Supergirl will be involved, setting up some unique fighting scenes.
