The current exhibition at PalaisPopulaire in Berlin presents LuYang, this year’s Deutsche Bank “Artist of the Year”. LuYang’s works are inspired by science fiction, manga, gaming, and techno culture. The exhibition DOKU Experience Center focuses entirely on a virtual reincarnation called Dokusho Dokushi, or DOKU for short, a gender-neutral avatar. LuYang lives and works in Shanghai. The exhibition at PalaisPopulaire is curated by Britta Färber (Global Head of Art, Deutsche Bank) and runs until February 13, 2023.
