In addition to blue check marks, Twitter CEO Elon Musk previously said there would be gold badges for businesses and grey badges for government.
'Variety' reports that Twitter
briefly awarded @DisneyJuniorUK a
gold verification badge on April 24.
The page also boasted the message:
"This account is verified because it's
an official business on Twitter.".
However, @DisneyJuniorUK is
not an official business, but rather a parody account that has posted racial slurs.
The owner of the account tweeted
their surprise at being verified.

Typically, gold verification status costs
$1,000 per month, but the fee is waived
for larger companies, like Disney.
After Disney and other sources
reached out to inform Twitter of its
mistake, the account was suspended
