Glasgow headlines 19 April: Council raise concerns over school book claiming homosexuality is a sin
  • last year
Glasgow councillors have raised concerns after a book claiming homosexuality is a sin has been used in one of the city’s Catholic high schools.

The issue was discussed at a recent meeting where Labour councillor Fiona Higgins said the content had upset some pupils.

A council officer said that while they are working with headteachers to encourage use of appropriate materials, they admitted there were challenges.

Next, the west end fast food restaurant BRGR was broken into by a masked robber, and a CCTV appeal has now been launched.

The company shared the footage on social media, writing “we know our burgers are good guys but please wait until the shop is open until you try and get one.”

And in other news, Glasgow Airport has announced their short-stay car park will go cashless by the end of April.

The remaining pick-up and drop-off facilities are also to go cashless by 19 May in order to make the service smoother.
