It would be a big disservice for The Marvels not to have a noteworthy impact on the Multiverse Saga. In fact, The Marvels could set up Avengers: Secret Wars significantly thanks to the trio’s connection and Kamala’s mysterious bangle. It could all culminate in an incursion when two universes collide destroying one or both as first introduced in Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness. Captain Marvel, Photon, and Ms. Marvel constantly swapping places could be weakening the multiversal borders and end up threatening Earth-616’s universe. Naturally, this would be monumental for the ongoing saga as it would showcase the incredible dangers the MCU is facing going forward.
The Marvels can be the most influential installment in the Multiverse Saga by establishing real stakes. In dealing with an incursion, the heroes are risking not only death but also the possibility that one or all of them will get stuck in another universe. Neither Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness nor Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania cultivated authentic and impactful stakes, but if this happens, The Marvels definitely would. It’s the missing element the MCU needs to ensure the unfolding narrative is landing effectively, and so, The Marvels may be the key to unlocking the Multiverse Saga.
