4 army personnel succumbed to gunshot injuries during firing incident at Bathinda Military Station on April 12.
Army's South Western Command stated that the firing occurred around 4:35 am inside the Military Station.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be briefed by Army Chief General Manoj Pande on the firing incident.
However, Punjab police sources have said that there is no terror angle to the incident.
The area continues to be sealed off and joint investigations with Punjab Police are being coordinated.
Possible case of involvement of an INSAS rifle along with 28 rounds reported missing two days ago.
