ರಾಜಕೀಯದಿಂದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸರಿಯುವ ಕುರಿತು ಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಮಾಜಿ ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ಈಶ್ವರಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಈ ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಲು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಅನುಭವದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸುವಂತೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೆವು.
