Adesanya delivered a second-round knockout on the night, which left Pereira unconscious on the canvas.

During his celebrations in the aftermath of regaining his title, the 33-year-old pointed to Pereira's son in the crowd and fell to the ground while mocking playing dead.

Pereira had also beaten Adesanya twice in the kickboxing ring and was mocked by the Brazilian's child after the second defeat at Glory of Heroes 7 in Sao Paolo.

After the second encounter, Pereira's son got into the octagon and fell to the ground next to Adesanya, mocking him for his recent loss.

When asked about the incident during his post-fight press conference, Adesanya told the media: 'I'm petty bro.

'But then, yeah, I looked for his kid, and I pointed at him, and I saw him, and I was like, hey, hey, hey, [mimics falling to the floor] just to remind him.'

'The Last Stylebender' produced a brutal second-round knockout to seal a victory over the Brazilian fighter and take back the title that he lost in November last year.

Adesanya sent his opponent stumbling in the second round with a pair of right-handed blows and eventually forced Pereira to the floor before unleashing a number of hammer fists whilst he lay on the canvas.

Pereira had previously beaten Adesanya at UFC 281 back in November 2022 thanks to a fifth-round TKO at Maddison Square Garden in New York.

The fierce rivals are now level in their head-to-head battles in the octagon, although Pereira has a further two wins over Adesanya to his name in kickboxing.
