The film is based on Norwegian writer Jo Nesbo's short story The Jealousy Man, and the film adaptation follows two twin brothers who get caught up in a violent love triangle on a remote Greek island. A damaged local detective with a nose for jealousy is called in to solve a murder. Production of the Killer Heat is scheduled to begin in Crete in May.
