Recently there have been reports of RTX 3080 Ti GPUs and more specifically, Gigabyte cards, crashing or dying while playing Diablo 4 Beta. In this video we are going to see how our Gigabyte RTX 3080 Ti graphics card suffered a deadly hit, and lived to tell the tale...
Why are GPUs Failing in Diablo 4? We recorded the Abnormal Behavior Causing GPUs to Fail in Diablo 4. Is this how Diablo 4 is killing GPUs?
This is how it looks when a GPU is not working normally in Diablo 4: Our Gigabyte RTX 3080 Ti started overheating very dangerously, reaching 92 to 93 degrees, which is more than 20 degrees over this card’s normal maximum temperature, and this while running at just 300-400MHz with 99% utilization, struggling to maintain 30 to 35fps.
It’s like the card is giving all it’s got trying to reach 60 fps, while at the same time staying on the idle operating frequency for some unknown reason.
Our card was affected by this anomaly but lived to tell the tale.
Diablo 4 is an amazing game and hopefully this issue will get resolved soon, so that all Diablo fans can enjoy it without worrying about their graphics cards failing.
