DJ Drama has announced the release of his brand new album, I’m Really Like That, which is set to drop on March 31st. With the resurgence of Gangsta Grillz mixtapes in the past two years, Drama is taking advantage of the hype and releasing his long-awaited project. He shared the cover art and has been hinting at the release for a while now. Drama recently stopped by Sway in the Morning to discuss the new album, alongside topics such as the Funk Flex/DJ Khaled rivalry and his admiration for the late Nipsey Hussle.

Drama spoke about how excited he is for the release of his upcoming album, and how the process was different from his previous projects. He mentioned how he took his time with this album and was able to put his all into it. Drama also revealed that the theme of the album is all about being confident and being true to oneself. He wanted to make an album that people could vibe with and relate to, and that’s exactly what he accomplished.

During the interview, Drama also talked about some of the challenges he faced throughout his career, including the struggles of being a DJ in the music industry. He mentioned how he’s seen EDM DJ’s cheat the industry, and how he dislikes the way they manipulatively make music. Drama speaks about how he doesn’t want to follow in that same direction and how he wants to make music the right way.
