Footage shows the fiery wreck after a freight train carrying ethanol and corn syrup came flying off the tracks in Minnesota.

The 22-carriage derailment led to the evacuation of residents near the crash site in Raymond.

Pete Buttigieg, the US transport secretary, tweeted: “At present no injuries or fatalities have been reported. We are tracking closely as more details emerge and will be involved in the investigation.”

A local highway was also shut as a result of the derailment.
