Glasgow’s booming sneaker culture explored

Have you ever camped outside a trainer store in order to get the latest cool kicks as soon as they come out the next morning? Well, Taylor and Alan have, and while their passions were considered niche they’ve now both made successful careers from it.

GlasgowWorld is exploring the city’s sneaker culture which is making its mark worldwide. We spoke to Taylor from Empire Glasgow in Princes Square whose eBay endeavour accidentally became a prosperous business.

We then interred Alan from Sneakers ER, a Sneaker Laundry shop in Trongate who now work with brands such as Adidas and Nike to lower their carbon footprint.
