Chaitra Navratri Ashtami 2023: Ashtami Puja has special significance in Navratri. Mahagauri, the eighth form of Maa Durga, is worshiped on this day. The Devi Bhagavata Purana states that the 9 forms of the Mother and the 10 Mahavidyas are all parts and forms of Adishakti. But, along with Mahadev, only Mahagauri resides in the form of his better half. It is said that every impossible task becomes possible by worshiping Mahagauri.
