Remotely operated underwater vehicle locates sunken oil tanker

MT Princess Empress, which sank off Naujan, Oriental Mindoro last Feb. 28 and caused an oil spill, has been located, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said Tuesday.

In a Facebook post, PCG said MT Princess Empress was found through the use of the remotely operated vehicle (ROV), named HOKUYO from Japan today, March 21.

MT Princess Empress sank off Naujan, Oriental Mindoro on Feb. 28 while carrying 800,000 liters of industrial fuel oil.
