ICC issues arrest warrant for Putin

For the forced removal of children to Russia following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.

The deportation of children to Russia is one of the ways Ukrainians claim that Moscow is attempting to wipe them out and erase their identity.

Putin is "supposedly liable for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children)" and that of "unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation," according to a statement released by the Hague-based court on Friday.
