As Australia prepares to vote in a referendum on an Indigenous voice to parliament a by-election in the Northern Territory is testing just how important the issue is for locals in remote parts of the top end. While Territory Labor supports the voice a split has emerged within the country liberals whose president quit earlier this week after describing his party's opposition to the voice as offensive.
