NFL: Dallas Cowboys set to release RB Ezekiel Elliot, report claims
  • last year
The Dallas Cowboys will likely release running back Ezekiel Elliott, insider Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday (15 March).

It is a move long anticipated, as the 27-year-old’s place with the NFL team had come into doubt over the past year.

He scored 12 touchdowns in 15 games for the Cowboys in the 2022 season.

Elliott is the franchise’s third-leading rusher, but by the 2022 midseason, it was clear Tony Pollard had surpassed him as the Cowboys’ lead RB option.
