'Close to 400,000 children' have received new malaria vaccine in Kenya

Kenya widens the rollout of the groundbreaking malaria vaccine to its lake-endemic region, where many children under the age of five are killed by the mosquito-borne disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommended the RTS,S malaria vaccine for broader use in 2021, after a successful pilot scheme in Kenya, Ghana and Malawi.
