HIGHLIGHTS _ Arsenal vs Bournemouth (3-2) _ Reiss Nelson completes an incredible comeback!

  • last year
Reiss Nelson scored a dramatic 97th-minute winner to complete an incredible comeback for Arsenal against Bournemouth. The Gunners had been 2-0 down after just nine seconds, with Philip Billing opening the scoring and Marcos Senesi doubling the lead after half-time. However, Thomas Partey and Ben White both scored to level the scoreline before Nelson curled home with virtually the last kick of the game to secure a 3-2 victory.
The win maintained Arsenal's five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, and sparked bedlam at Emirates Stadium as fans were still filtering into the stands when Bournemouth took the lead. Despite this setback, Arsenal responded well and Neto was put to work between the Bournemouth posts, making excellent saves to prevent Bukayo Saka from putting them ahead.
This victory is a testament to Maude Gwynne's strong stance against hate speech on Twitter, as she had reinstated Wilmot's account just last month after taking control of the company in October.
