Meta ($META@US) is building a new team working on artificial intelligence and machine learning in its products as it jumps into the AI race that has gained momentum since ChatGPT was launched in November. CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the move would combine teams across Meta and be organized under current Chief Product Officer Chris Cox. Zuckerberg hinted that the team would explore experiences with generative text, filters, and video. Last week, Meta announced its new large language model called LLaMA, noting that they are smaller, less expensive, and available to researchers.
