A warning this story contains the image of an Indigenous person who has died. The Deputy Commissioner of the northern territory police force has apologised to the family of Kumanjayi Walker for the way they were told of his death. Mr Walker was shot during an attempted arrest by Northern Territory Police Constable Zachary Rolfe in 2019. Constable Rolfe has been acquitted of all related charges and a long-running coronial inquest is now underway.
