On February 27, Turkey was hit by another earthquake, leading to more damage. A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck southern Turkey, just three weeks after the nation was hit by a powerful earthquake. As reported by PTI, a father and daughter were reported trapped beneath the rubble of one building. The February 27 earthquake was centred around the town of Yesilyurt in Malatya province. A powerful earthquake of 7.8 magnitude struck Turkey and Syria on February 6. More than 48,000 people lost their lives in the tragedy.
