LTFRB extends traditional jeepney franchises anew

According to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), there are already 96,000 jeepneys that have joined cooperatives or corporations, which is the requirement under the public utility vehicle (PUV) modernization program.

However, there are still 50,000 traditional jeepneys have yet to be consolidated and might be taken off the road if they will not comply with the deadline set until June 30 of this year. (MB Video Noel B. Pabalate)
